There's something to be said about a later in life love, and Ryan and I met at the perfect time. As adults with children and careers, life had taken each of us in different directions and we both had our share of heartache and broken promises; until that fateful morning when we met. As luck would have it, we met during a time that we both love - Carnival season, and on that Carnival Sunday morning, just as the Vale Breakfast party was wrapping up, me with my easygoing, uninhibited self, approached a generally reserved and quietly handsome Ryan, and started a chat that never ended. Ryan and I like to say that we did not fall in love. We walked. It was slow and steady, like a Sunday evening stroll on a relaxed day. I was clear from the start about what I wanted and needed in a partner, and Ryan did not approach me to begin a relationship until he felt the time was right. And when it did happen, we knew this would be forever. Ryan and I truly believe that God kept us for each other.
