We met on Bumble, a popular dating app in July of 2021. Our first date was at BJ’s and Ryan thought he botched it, but was surprised to hear that I thought it went well. We began FaceTiming regularly and sending novel length text messages to each other. We spent every weekend traveling from Dayton and Cincinnati, discovering all that the two cities had to offer. We quickly realized we were two very different people with opposite interests/hobbies, but complemented each other well. Ryan took me to see Wicked and other musical performances while I accompanied him to a fishing expo 🥴😂. We also enjoyed golfing, cooking, and hiking together. Ryan was adamant about keeping his proposal a complete surprise. He met with my parents secretly beforehand and told them his plans. He asked me to go for a winter hike on the coldest day in December of 2022, and being the cold weather hater I am, I said no and called him crazy. He quickly changed his plans and took me to the Greene Shopping Center where I thought we would be simply Christmas shopping for family members. Ryan insisted that we get to the big Christmas tree (even though I wanted to keep shopping). We walked over to the big tree and he popped the question! The rest is history. We can’t wait to get married and share the day with all of the people we love most!! ❤️
