What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please begin to arrive at 3pm to enjoy lovely live music in the garden before our ceremony! We ask that you please be ready for the ceremony to start at 3:30pm and take ~10 minutes of parking/walking time into account.

Is there parking available near the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of street parking in the residential area of The Thursday Club. There are hills in the neighborhood, so drop off for ladies in heels is recommended. Please allow for a 10-15 minute window to walk to the venue entrance before the 3:30pm ceremony start time. It is a 4-mile (12 minute) drive from the airport, so Uber will be accessible if preferred.

What is the attire?

Answer

The Thursday Club is a beautiful coastal garden venue. We suggest midi or full-length dresses for the ladies, and suits or smart shirts for the gentlemen (Long sleeve dress shirt and dress pants please. Tie is optional. Suit is optional.) The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors. The evening reception will be indoors. Thank you!

The Thursday Club in Point Loma is about a 10 minute drive, but plan for more time on weekends. Kona Kai San Diego Resort 1551 Shelter Island Drive San Diego CA 92106 Kona Kai is a full-service waterfront resort with a private beach, marina views, two pools (including an adults-only pool), spa, and an on-site restaurant and bar — perfect if you want to relax and treat the wedding stay like a mini-vacation. Driving from Kona Kai to the Thursday Club in Point Loma typically takes about 15 minutes but plan for more time on weekends. Best Western Island Palms Hotel & Marina 2051 Shelter Island Drive San Diego CA 92106 A relaxed, waterfront hotel on Shelter Island offering comfortable rooms, marina views, and resort-style amenities like pools, bike rentals, and bayfront walking paths — a peaceful spot for guests who want a laid-back coastal stay close to everything. The Thursday Club in Point Loma is about a 10–12 minute drive, but allow extra time on weekends. *These hotels offer AAA, mobile device user, and/or senior discounts. Please keep in mind that sometimes booking through a 3rd party (Expedia, TripAdvisor, etc) is cheaper than the hotel website itself. *We have a handful of friends in their 20s coming to celebrate with us.
