"Where there is love, there is life...."

We first met at work in 2011 and for 5 years we were just co-workers. I don't think either of us ever gave a second glance during that 5 year span until 2017, when something changed. I say to friends "I believe the stars aligned perfectly to bring us together" but honestly we cannot remember what triggered the spark. We went on a few dates to the movies and the rest as they say is history, which has brought us here to this point.

It was Christmas day 2018 when I proposed. We were attending a Christmas Eve party at a neighbors house. At midnight I suggested we go home to open our presents. Inside I retrieved her fake present from under the tree and while she fumbled with unwrapping, I removed my shirt, under which I had my proposal written on a white tee. Earlier in the day I had gotten a black sharpie and written the proposal: KC will you marry me? to the front.............and to the back had two choices, YES or NO? When she finally opened her fake gift which was a plastic ring, she looked up and there I was standing with my shirt and proposal. She was lost for words and could not muster up an answer; That is when I retrieved the real gift (DIAMOND RING) from my crotch, went on my knees and proposed-------------): We are thrilled to celebrate our big day with all of you......
