We met when we were both in high school drama class at Washtenaw Christian Academy. We sat next to each other and began to talk and eventually became good friends. The next school year we got closer and ended up going to homecoming that year as "friends". We had an amazing time together and began to date each other a couple weeks later officially. For some reason that I don't remember, we broke up for the next summer, and going into the next school year we both didn't know what would happen with our friendship/relationship. The first week back to school we started to talk again, and within a month we began dating again. From then on we have grown closer and closer and loved spending every day of almost 5 years together.

Ryan planned out the proposal perfectly! He had one of his good friends, Trevor, plan a photoshoot with the two of us. In the past Ryan and I had taken pictures with Trevor just for fun, so this did not tip me off to the proposal. When we got to the park Ryan was incredibly calm for a guy that was about to propose, so I did not suspect anything. We went through the whole photoshoot as normal, and when we were about done we were told have Ryan spin me around slowly for a perfect picture. Ryan spun me around and when I turned back to look at him he was down on one knee. I was shocked and excited, and he asked me to marry him. Obviously I said yes!
