Like most modern love stories, ours began with a swipe — in February 2023, we matched on Hinge. What made it different was the prompt we connected on: “How are we going to tell our friends and family that we met?” Ryan promised to send a new story every day, and the tales began to roll in: Story 1: We were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend who is also blind and has since moved to Greenland — so, unfortunately, no one will ever meet them. Story 2: We met at midnight on Broad Street, near City Hall — pure movie magic. Story 3: We both got stood up on Valentine’s Day at the same place. We locked eyes, decided to grab ice cream, and the rest is history. From day one, everything with us has felt spontaneous and easy — our first date was no different. We planned to meet for drinks at the Pour House… but Ryan accidentally showed up at Keg & Kitchen instead (close enough, right?). It was the kind of mix-up that just made everything more “us.” It didn’t take long for us to realize we had something special. I knew Ryan was the one not just because of how I felt around him, but because of how much love and respect surrounds him. Meeting his family and friends sealed the deal — I wasn’t the only one who thought he was amazing. Since then, we’ve shared unforgettable adventures together — from Curacao to London to Canada — with many more stamps in our passports to come. Every step of the way, we’ve laughed, grown, and built a life full of love, humor, and endless fun.
