Flight
SBA is only a 15 minute drive from Downtown Santa Barbara, super convenient! It's a smaller airport but has Alaska, American Airlines, United and Southwest. From there, a quick ride share will get you into town in no time!
Flight
You will be most likely to get a direct flight (and a more affordable flight) if you fly into LAX. From there you have two options. (#1) Rent a car (or car service) and take the 1 hour 45 minute drive up to Santa Barbara or (#2) Take the 2 hour 30 min Amtrak up to Santa Barbara [more info on this below].
Train
If renting a car is not your style you can always take the train from LA to Santa Barbara. It's a 2.5 hour train ride from Los Angeles Union Station to Santa Barbara. Rides are about $30 each way and the view is supposed to be beautiful. You can get from LAX to Union Station using a ride share app or taking the FlyAway bus for $10.
