Wedding Party

There’s an amazing group of people who will be standing by us on this joyous occasion. It’s impossible to fit everything they mean to us in a paragraph or two, but we're still going to try.

Sam Hohler & Taylor King

Maids of Honor

I met Sam working at a bakery (which we won't name here) circa 2014. The bakery turned out to be terrible, but we found each other. I was in awe of Sam's abilities as a pastry chef, her larger-than-life personality, her sage advice. She fully inspired me to pursue cake decorating and provided recipes, equipment, and encouragement along the way. She's heard and seen most of my dating history, soothed tears and celebrated victories, was patient for the THREE YEARS I debated telling Ryan I loved him. Heck, I even shotgunned my first (and last) beer on her lawn. She's the first true friend I made as an adult (it's hard, okay?) and I'm so glad she's stuck around. I met Taylor, like Sam, at the bakery. I thought I was incredibly mature at 21 (spoiler alert, I wasn't) until I met Taylor. She was younger than me but far more mature, smart, and funny. I was intimidated, but also wanted to be her friend. We often worked the sandwich bar together and we had the same pet peeves; it became a beautiful friendship. When I became a recluse in my 20s and lost touch with almost everyone, Sam started a group chat with me and Taylor--and that was it. We've talked almost every day since. We've seen each other through moves, heartaches, triumphs. Even though we met at the bakery from Dante's 10th circle, we managed to find a lifelong friendship. They have been waiting for this wedding to happen longer than even I have, and its an honor to have them at my side.

Claire Yackley

Bridesmaid

I can't even really say when I met Claire; she is the youngest daughter of the two choir teachers most of my sisters and I had (Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Yackley!) in Georgia. If I had to guess, I'd say I was 6. We spent countless concerts, musical rehearsals, and All-State choir trips causing mischief. I'm talking hours of youngest sibling chaos every week. Claire was so brave, confident, and vivacious. She drew me out of my shell. By the time we got to middle school, we were inseparable. I mean that, we performed "Sisters" from White Christmas at our 7th grade talent show. When I found out we were moving to Oregon, Claire and I were wildly devastated (we were in middle school, it's a dramatic time). She came out to visit us in Oregon; I promised her she'd be in my wedding one day. And, here we are. I wouldn't be who I am without her. She always embraced my weird, and I hers (and we were both weird kids). Now, twenty something years later, I get to have her by my side I'm so grateful.

Kelsey Andrews

Bridesmaid

I think most people probably fret about meeting their partner's family for the first time. The first time I met Kelsey, all my worries vanished instantly. We just got along; we laughed about funny things our partners did, talked about life, and could already communicate with a glance. The first real bakery order I did for anyone was for Kelsey and Nevin's baby shower. She probably didn't even know it then, but baking is my love language. I was (and am) so inspired by her. She's insanely busy (with three lovely daughters and life) but always takes time to check in, give me advice, or laugh with me. She has a way of making me see the levity in any situation. I truly won the sister-in-law lottery, but I'm even more honored to call her a friend.

Miranda Orich

Bridesmaid

I'm going to be honest; I don't always like people right away. When I met Miranda, she reminded me of my two best friends. I couldn't help but love her. We worked together at Zupan's, and we became friends fast. We'd eat lunch together almost every day we worked together. As you may know, I love food. Miranda is an amazing cook and was constantly bringing me incredible things she had made (an even quicker way to my heart). We bond over our love of cats and human psychology. We both love quirky art and houseplants. We just get each other. She's become like family to me, and I am so lucky she's brought her magic (and delicious food) into my life.

Myles Cook

Bridesman

You only get to have one first niece or nephew. It's a pretty magical experience. Myles is my perfect, not-so-little anymore first nephew. I still remember chasing his toddler self all around Bend. He's now fifteen and basically a grown up. He's insanely smart, creative, and funny. He keeps me hip, and can roast better than Jeff Ross. He's a world-traveler (he went to Japan this year!), an avid geographer, and the most kind teenager you've ever met. I love this young man with my whole heart. Not every teenage boy would agree to do this, and that's just part of what makes him so special to me. I'm eternally proud of him.

Nevin and Austin Andrews

Best Men

Choosing my best man wasn’t difficult—it was impossible. I couldn’t imagine this day without both of my brothers standing beside me. Nevin, my older brother, has always been someone I look up to. He’s sharp, outgoing, and somehow always knows the right thing to say—whether it’s advice I didn’t know I needed or a perfectly timed joke. When we lived together as adults, we went from just being brothers to becoming true friends. I’ve watched him build a life full of love and a beautiful family, and it’s been nothing short of inspiring. His example has helped shape the kind of husband I want to be. Austin, my younger brother, has always been my partner in crime. Growing up, we pulled pranks, staged epic airsoft battles, and spent countless hours quoting Austin Powers and laughing at things only we understand. When we lived together, it felt like picking up right where we left off—just with better snacks and faster internet. I’m proud of the man he’s becoming, and I’m lucky to call him not just my brother, but my friend. Having Nevin and Austin as my best men is one of the greatest honors of my life. They’ve been with me through everything, and now they’re here as I start this next chapter. I couldn’t ask for better brothers—or better best men.

Ian Hobson & Andrew Skrondal

Groomsmen

Ian and I go way back—all the way to preschool. If you know Ian, you know he’s the quiet one…until he isn’t. Beneath that calm exterior is one of the funniest guys you’ll ever meet. We grew up playing baseball and basketball together, and I spent way too many hours trying to keep up with him on his backyard dirt bike track. Our teenage years? Let’s just say we have some crazy stories. These days, even when we can’t hang out in person, we always make time to catch up over some Fortnite. Ian’s been by my side through it all, and I couldn’t imagine this day without him. Next up is Andrew—Skrondal if you’re in the know. We met in third grade when my family moved to Lake Oswego, and his backyard quickly became our personal airsoft warzone. From the start, he was more than just a friend—he was like a second brother. Andrew is the guy who keeps everyone laughing, the one who’s always got a wild idea, and somehow, he’s also the one who keeps us all together. He’s the life of the party, the first to say ‘yes’ to anything, and someone who’s been there for me through it all. I’m so grateful to have him here with me today.

Cameron Skrondal

Groomsman

And last but definitely not least—Cameron. I’ve literally known Cameron his entire life because he’s Andrew’s younger brother. Growing up, he was right there with us for every neighborhood adventure and backyard game, and even though he’s technically the youngest, you’d never know it…except maybe for his 21st birthday, when Jasmine and I were done by 1 a.m., and he was just getting started. He’s always been like a little brother to me, but over the years, he’s become an incredible friend in his own right. Having him here today means everything.

Josette Mitchell

Officiant

Josette is my (Jasmine’s) fairy godmother and cousin. She has always taken her godmother duties seriously, and the fairy title comes from the fact that she is a magical person. My whole life, she has been there: visiting us all the way in Georgia, writing to me, even recording a video of “What a Wonderful World” in sign language and sending it to me (that was a big deal in the VHS days. It felt EXTRA special.) Despite being the mayor, and now city manager, of Vernonia, she has always made time to cheer me on. When she married her wonderful husband Casey, she asked me to be her bell girl—I was a kid and spent about ten minutes jumping around the kitchen. It was insanely exciting. She has always brought a little magic, a lot of humor, and so much love into my life. I’m incredibly honored to have her officiate our wedding!

Simon & Nina Gvkaharia

Ring Bearer + Flower Girl

The nephew and niece of the bride. Simon (7) likes legos, basketball, and is most likely currently listening to the first Harry Potter book for the hundredth time. Like his future uncle, he prefers to wear shorts. He tells excellent jokes. Nina will be 5 in September. She loves princesses, coloring, and her aunt Zizi’s cake. She can sing all of the songs from the Hercules movie.

Chapman Owens

Ring Bearer

The three year old nephew of the bride. He loves squirrels (like his aunt!), garbage trucks, and trees. Also like his aunt, he loves the movie The Aristocats.

Violet, Stella & Leia Andrews

Flower Girls

Violet is 6 and loves learning, dancing, climbing trees, jumping on the couch, crafts and being a big sister. Uncle “Ry Ry” spent lots of time with her as a toddler when he lived with Nevin and Kelsey (and they had a blast). Leia loves reading books, cuddles, wearing rain boots inside, being chased, swinging (and her sisters!) Stella loves climbing, hugs and kisses, legos, doggies, and balls. (and of course, her sisters!)
