Georgetown is also home to many great restaurants and a waterfront park which is perfect for taking pictures and walking around. There are parking garages around Georgetown, but it is likely more convenient to Uber/Lyft as traffic on M St. can be a little crazy!
Catch a Washington Nationals baseball game as they take on the Philadelphia Phillies! We recommend taking the metro to Navy Yard/Ballpark as driving and parking near the stadium can be a little hectic. From Alexandria, you can take the yellow line from the King St. Metro stop to L'Enfant Plaza then switch to the green line toward Branch Ave, and getting off 2 stops later at Navy Yard.
Heather and Ryan have spent quite a few nights walking and biking up and down the waterfront. There are tons of great restaurants, ice cream shops, and boutique stores to check out along the way! Old Town Alexandria is a historic city, and also hosts a number of ghost tours.
