Hannah and I met as complete strangers at Joe and Kelly’s wedding on April 28, 2023. She was busy doing what she does best—serving, ushering, and quietly making sure every little detail of the day ran smoothly. I, on the other hand, was there for a much more spiritual reason: the free food and drinks. Somewhere in the middle of the wedding, I saw her. And from that first moment, I was drawn to her like an unstoppable force. I did everything I could to strike up a conversation… and she did everything she could to politely reject me. After the wedding, I decided to be bold and DM her on Instagram, asking her out for coffee. Her response? “I’m going to Korea.” I took that as a soft no… but also maybe not a forever no. So I waited. A month and a half later, when she was coming back to the States, I somehow convinced her to let me pick her up from the airport—on the condition that I wouldn’t tell anyone. (I told all my bros.) After I picked her up, she treated me to a meal as a thank-you. One meal turned into another… and then another. And somewhere between all those meals, we realized something special was happening. Now, we're ready as a couple to spend the rest of our lives sharing meals, laughs, and everything in between.
