Our Story

7 years and counting...🤍

It all started in one of their favorite towns, Chico. It was the beginning of their sophomore year in 2017 at Chico State when both Hannah and Ryan moved into Creekside Apartments with their roommates. But it wasn’t until August 25th, 2017, when Hannah decided to join a sorority and fraternity “fam”, that their paths crossed. From the moment they met, it was clear—it was love at first sight for both of them. That evening, Ryan introduced Hannah to the fam drink, SoCo (Southern Comfort and Dr. Pepper), and from there, their connection was undeniable. They spent the rest of the night inseparable, ending it with their first kiss. As the weeks went by, they spent more and more time together. On her birthday, October 1st, Ryan asked Hannah to be his girlfriend, marking the beginning of their journey together. They visited each other during nearly every school break and grew closer with each other’s families. On June 1st, the night before a Giants game, Ryan shared the words Hannah had been waiting to hear: "I love you." From that moment, their love only deepened. They supported each other through the challenges of college life, graduating together in the class of 2020—a graduation none of them would ever forget, thanks to the unique circumstances of the year. The following year, they navigated a long-distance relationship while Ryan worked hard to save money and Hannah finished her teaching credential at SSU, emerging stronger than ever. On June 4th, 2021, they moved into their first home together, a cozy duplex on Lark Ave in Redwood City. Over the next three years, they created countless memories with friends and family, building a life full of love and laughter. In June 2023, they rescued their first fur baby, Frankie, who quickly became an adored member of the family. In May 2024, Ryan and Hannah took another significant step, purchasing their first home in Petaluma, where they began crafting even more cherished memories. That summer, as a gift from Hannah's grandparents, they stayed at Ko Olina Beach Resort, where Ryan orchestrated a surprise photography session. It was there, in one of the most beautiful moments of their lives, that he proposed, and Hannah, overcome with emotion, said yes. It was a moment they’ll never forget. Shortly after, they rescued their second fur baby, Sammy, who has quickly stolen their hearts just like Frankie. Now, as they approach their wedding day, Ryan and Hannah are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in their journey. They’ve spent months dreaming and planning for this moment, and they can’t wait to celebrate with the people who mean the most to them. Here’s to the Nicholas’ —cheers to a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories! 🥂
