Since Tepoztlan is over an hour from MEX airport, you will need to book transportation ahead of time, as taxis and Ubers are not guaranteed to make the trip into Mexico City if they are local to Tepoztlan. Here is a WhatsApp link from our wedding planners for trusted transportation. You can book for anywhere from 2-15 people. They have cars and large vans. We love your kids! However, in order for guests to have the optimal experience, only those who were listed on the invitation are invited to the wedding (18+).
If you are in town in time, we will be reserving boats through a private company. The cost is $65 per person, which includes 3 hours of guiding through the canals, guacamole, beer, tequila, and non-alcoholic beverages. Bring additional cash for specialty drinks and items from boat vendors on the canals. BOOK HERE: https://book.stripe.com/8wM5nWaKz2aHfD2dRh
**Please see the Travel tab for hotels and airbnbs! For the wedding weekend (Friday and Saturday night), we recommend staying in the town of Tepoztlan, Mexico. This is where the venue is and it is about 45 minutes outside of Mexico City proper. There are tons of boutique hotels (I recommend Expedia or booking.com) and Airbnb options. If you stay in an Airbnb, make sure to make taxi accommodations ahead of time as Ubers are hard to find in this smaller town. If you stay in a hotel, they can arrange taxis for you. We have linked some great options on the "Travel" page. If you are making a trip out of the wedding and staying before or after, we reccomend staying inside of Mexico City the other days. We love the Polanco neighborhood as well as Centro Historico in the center of the city so you can walk to bars, restaurants, etc. Ryan and Hailey will be staying in Centro Historico near the Cathedral Tuesday 7/9- Friday morning 7/12 if you want to stay nearby!
Formal/Black-Tie Optional! Floor length or cocktail dresses are recommended for women and suits for men. NO BLUE JEANS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES- not even you, cowboys.
The venue is in the mountains, so it is cooler than the Mexico summer weather you might expect! July in Tepoztlan is typically a low of 56 and high of 80!
The venue is about an hour outside of Mexico City in Tepoztlan. We will arrange a shuttle from Mexico City to Tepoztlan, the city where the venue is. More details to come on that. Otherwise, Uber or taxi is easiest! You can also arrange transportation privately ahead of time to meet you at the airport.
Yes- even safer than some U.S. states, in fact. As per usual while traveling anywhere (always), stay vigilant, carry all belongings in the front of you (not your back pocket), and don't stay out late alone at night!
We will be there the whole week! Text us to meet up!
