For those driving from Los Angeles, we want to help you avoid the worst of weekend traffic so your trip is as smooth as possible. If you’re driving down on Thursday or Friday: The best times to leave are early in the morning before rush hour, or between 10:00 AM–12:00 PM after the morning rush has cleared. If that’s not possible, another good window is after 8:00 PM once evening traffic has died down. Please note that traffic tends to get significantly heavier in the afternoon and early evening. If you’re driving down on Saturday (the day of the wedding): The ceremony begins at 4:00 PM, so we strongly recommend leaving in the morning to allow plenty of time and avoid mid-day congestion. Traffic typically gets heavier as the afternoon approaches.
We encourage guests to stay at Mission Pacific Beach Resort, where the majority of the wedding party will be staying. If this hotel is outside your preferred budget or not your first choice, additional hotel options will be listed on the "accommodations" tab. Alternative options for hotels are The Seabird Ocean Resort & Spa or SpringHill Suites by Marriott, both are also located in Oceanside and very close to the Mission Pacific Beach Resort.
We recommend booking your hotel as soon as possible. Rooms are limited and Oceanside can be a popular destination—especially on weekends. Reserving early will ensure you get the best rate and are staying close to the rest of our guests.
If you're traveling from Los Angeles and would prefer not to drive (or don’t have access to a car), the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner is a convenient and scenic option. It runs directly from LA down the coast to Oceanside, with the station located right in the center of town and just minutes from our hotels, restaurants, and the beach. The ride is comfortable, has great ocean views, and trains run multiple times a day—making it an easy and relaxing way to get here.
We ask that you RVSP as soon as you can. You can RSVP when you receive your save the date. The sooner you RSVP the more you help move along our planning process. Additionally, if you have any issues RSVPing, please reach out to either Ryan or Grace for assistance.
We kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend. As much as we’d love to celebrate with everyone, we’re keeping our wedding intimate and are unable to accommodate additional guests.
We love your kids — truly! But for our wedding day, we are keeping the celebration adults-only. We hope this gives you a chance to enjoy a mini getaway and celebrate with us.

Both our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. Since our wedding is in October, the weather can be a bit cooler in the late afternoon and early evening, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap just in case. The ceremony and cocktail hour will also be held on grass, so we encourage women to opt for thicker heels, wedges, or flats rather than stilettos for comfort and safety. The reception will be held indoors, so you’ll be able to warm up and dance the night away!
Shuttles will be provided from the Mission Pacific Beach Resort to the venue. Shuttles will be located at the front of the hotel where the valet is located, and will depart between 3:20–3:30 PM. At the end of the evening, return shuttles will run from the venue back to the Mission Pacific Beach Resort from 9:30–11:30 PM. We highly recommend opting into shuttle transportation, as rideshare services like Uber can be difficult to find in the area. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so you don’t miss the ride!
