Our San Diego

For all our family and friends visiting San Diego (and those who are local), we've compiled a shortlist of our favorite places to see, things to do, and food to eat! If you're hungry for more suggestions, please reach out to us, we are happy to provide more and more of our favorite things!
Torrey Pines State Reserve

Torrey Pines State Reserve

12600 North Torrey Pines Road, La Jolla, CA 92037
, (858) 755-2063

If you're looking for amazing views and lovely hike, please head out to Torrey Pines State Reserve! It's one of our favorite places in San Diego (unless we're running the La Jolla Half Marathon)!

La Jolla Cove

La Jolla Cove

CA 92037

La Jolla Cove is a wonderful place to enjoy the local wildlife, here you can see the Sea Lions and Seals that call San Diego home. Our extra adventurous friends should look into kayaking, paddle boarding, or snorkeling (our favorite) here or anywhere on the coast in La Jolla.

Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach

San Diego, CA

There's plenty to see and do right here in Pacific Beach. We love to hang out on the beach and enjoy the Pacific, we also highly recommend renting bikes and taking a ride around the boardwalk! Don't forget to check out Crystal Pier and it's amazing views. Food is definitely our favorite thing, besides Loki, and these are our top picks in PB. For breakfast stop at Konos by the pier, we love their burritos and generous portions (it's worth the wait in line). If coffee is more your thing, Better Buzz is the place to go. For Lunch, we love the Fish Shop's amazing selection of fresh fish tacos and beer. If you're in the mood for something sweet, Baked Bear is a MUST!! Who can go wrong with customizable ice cream sandwiches?!?! Happy hour is always best spent at El Prez on the rooftop enjoying street tacos, beer & tequila and killer views of those west coast sunsets.

Karl Strauss & All the Breweries

Karl Strauss & All the Breweries

5985 Santa Fe Street, San Diego, CA 92109
, (858) 273-2739

Stay Hoppy San Diego! San Diego is a mecca for craft brewing fans and beer lovers in general. We are happy to have an exceptional one right in our back yard, so to speak: Karl Strauss. They make one of our favorite beers: Aurora Hoppyalis (be sure to give it a taste and experience the flavor explosion for yourself). Don't just limit yourself to one place; after sampling Karl Strauss be sure to take an über over to any of the many world-class breweries of San Diego! Your tastebuds will thank you while experiencing the beauty and unique atmosphere of San Diego. Happy Sipping!

Balboa Park

Balboa Park

San Diego, CA
, (619) 239-0512

Few things in San Diego are more iconic than Balboa Park! Home to Ryan's all-time favorite, the botanical building, many museums, gardens, and the zoo, Balboa is a great place to spend an hour or a day!

Outside of San Diego

Outside of San Diego

200 Palm Canyon Drive, Borrego Springs, CA 92004
, (760) 767-4205

When we do leave San Diego, it's normally to enjoy the beautiful state of California! If you have time for a day trip or two we highly recommend Anza-Borrego State Park or Joshua Tree. On your way out, stop in Julian and enjoy the most delicious pie we've ever had!
