We're Getting Married!

This journey began several months after Fiona moved to Arizona to further her education. In trying to meet new friends and find a home in Arizona, Fiona joined an online website to meet new people. Meeting the very modern way, they both swiped right on tinder. After months of talking, Fiona and Ryan deemed it was time to meet in person finally and see where the relationship would lead. After a very sketchy first date of just getting into is Hellcat and going for a 4-hour drive, Fiona decided Ryan was worth getting to know. They finally made it official after adventures to Utah, visiting Zion National Park, going to northern Arizona to see Horseshoe Bend and numerous trips to Flagstaff. Due to conflicting work and school schedules, Fiona and Ryan spent time between 10 pm and 2 am getting to know each other while stargazing, finding new adventures closer to home, and at late-night dinners. Over the course of several months, the couple decided it was time to move in together and start a chapter in their relationship. Together they have built a life and, along the way, adopted two cats while in quarantine. While going home to CT to meet Fiona's family, Ryan asked her dad for her hand in marriage. After two years together, Ryan got down on one knee at the Top of the Rock in Tempe, AZ, overlooking the city. Ryan and Fiona are looking forward to starting their next chapter with the company of their friends and family from both Arizona and Connecticut. To do so, they've come up with a series of wedding events to include everyone.

Planning the perfect wedding when families and friends are across the country has its challenges. However, it is our dream to celebrate our special day with all our loved ones. To do so, we’ve opted for a small intimate ceremony this year in a special location in Connecticut with immediate family. Following the small ceremony, we're having a reception at the same location. We plan to renew our vows with a second reception with our Arizona friends and family, in a town close to where our relationship began. The date is to be determined. Whether you join us in Connecticut for the wedding celebration, or in Arizona for our reception, we look forward to sharing both of these special moments (and many more) with you all!
