We made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding celebration on 6/26/21 due to COVID-19. If you booked a room under our room block, the room reservations have been cancelled. We wish we could have had the opportunity to celebrate with everyone! Maybe some day in the future. Thank you for your love, support, and understanding. Sending you love from a safe distance! -Éva & Ryan
We’re married! While it wasn’t the wedding we planned, we were able to pull off a beautiful ceremony. We were fortunate enough to have it recorded! Copy and paste this link to your browser to watch our wedding video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prdo11IcWvI
It was a rainy fall weekend in Boston. Éva had plans to leave town, but Ryan convinced her to stay in the city with a date to a ramen restaurant in Cambridge (and Éva loves ramen). Éva decided to stay. On Sunday morning, October 28th, they brunched at Sonsie on Newbury Street. They took a walk through the Boston Public Garden, where Éva (not Ryan!) led them to a cute area by the pond. Ryan asked to take a few selfies. After the selfies were taken, while Éva was getting ready to walk away, Ryan knelt down on one knee and brought out a ring! Éva was in such shock, not only because of what Éva was being presented with, but also because Ryan was proposing in FRENCH! Lucky for him, his accent wasn’t too bad and she said yes. Fun fact: that night, the Red Sox won the 2018 World Series! You’re welcome.
While Emily Bonazelli (AKA the Officiant, Eva's cousin, & Ryan's classmate at BU) was living in Allston, MA the summer of 2012, she and her roommates hosted a Beer Pong Tournament. That evening, neither Eva nor Ryan performed very well in the tournament and were promptly eliminated from the bracket. With so much spare time, Eva was able to network around the party (like the business school student that she was) where she introduced herself to Ryan. Sparks flew and numbers were exchanged.
