As do many great love stories of our generation, ours started at the 2016 Coachella Beer Garden. Although it was only where we said hi for the first time, three weeks later our friend Carly invited a group of us to a concert at the Shrine. After a night of dancing and stalking each other on Instagram, we realized an official first date was in our cards. We had a lot in common from the very start. Not only did we share a deep admiration for 2012 electronic music anthems, but we also shared an unequivocal love for the great American Golden Retriever, social media advertising, and most importantly our family & friends. Without much effort, we quickly fit into each other's lives and earned ourselves a nickname from our friends that we have been called ever since: The Babes. Several live concerts, late-night dance parties, and trips to Target later, The Babes were official. Over the years we have taught each other several important life lessons. I taught Ry how to swap a burger with a fresh salad and he reminded me how delicious a greasy slice of pizza is every now and then. Ry introduced me to my newfound love for baseball and I turned him into the biggest Bravo-fanatic there ever was. But most importantly, we taught each other how amazing it feels to fall in love with your best friend. For my birthday, Ry pulled off his best surprise yet. Like the true birthday queen that I am, I took the day off and talked my mom into getting us massages. When I got home, I walked into our apartment and saw my favorite Crook at the top of the stairs in a tie - Cooper. He quickly ran down, crumpling up all the perfectly picked rose petals, to greet me at the door. As we walked up, there stood my other favorite Crook, my Babe, on one knee. Best birthday ever. Now more than ever we really can't wait to dance the night away with our favorite people. See you in the desert!
