Things To Do

Berkeley is a college town, but it moves at a sleepy, cozy pace, just how we like it. Expect hole in the wall shops, great small businesses, and food from all over the world. Do not miss Burmese, Indian, or Vietnamese food. It is a wonderfully walkable city, so hop on BART and leave the car behind. Uber and Lyft are always close by if you need a lift.
Good streets/neighborhoods to wander: North Shattuck, Fourth Street, Elmwood, Solano, Telegraph, Downtown, and West Berkeley. We also suggest moseying into SF!
Important note for first timers: wherever you go in a car, please don't take this lightly: DO NOT LEAVE ANY BELONGINGS VISIBLE IN YOUR CAR. Keep important devices and bags with you and/or hidden in your trunk, including phone charging cables plugged into your port. There is a high risk of car break-ins in the East Bay and SF, and most insurance companies do not cover window damage or stolen goods.
