We're so excited to celebrate!

It all began in Dallas Texas 16 years ago. Ellie and Ryan met playing tennis at Highland Park High School and bonded over state championships and chemistry tutoring—little did they realize the “chemistry” being cooked up between them! While certainly interested in each other, nothing too serious developed during high school. Ellie’s high school crush on upperclassman Ryan became irrelevant and he graduated in 2009; and she a year later. They went their separate ways in life for 9 years…Ellie to live in downtown Chicago after attending Northwestern University (go ‘cats), and Ryan to live in Atlanta then Dallas after attending the University of Virginia (go ‘hoos). At the end of 2017, Ryan was in Evanston for business school at Kellogg and Ellie working in advertising in the city. After finding out that she was still in Chicago, Ryan contacted Ellie, who was unfortunately in a relationship at the time--much to Ryan's chagrin. When Ellie freed up in early 2018, she reached back out to Ryan. After a first date at a comedy club, they knew there was something there and began seeing each other…around the time of Ryan's acceptance of a job offer in Atlanta. After a year long distance (fortunately Atlanta and Chicago are both major airport hubs), Ellie moved down just in time to hunker down for COVID. Quarantine brought them precious fur-baby Odie. In December 2020, with his original Chicago proposal plans dashed by COVID, Ryan proposed to Ellie at a mountain house in Tennessee, and they’ve been anxiously awaiting the nuptials ever since!
