Our story certainly isn't the stuff of fairy tale lore. It starts with a rather mundane setting, consisting of a stale, run-down chain restaurant and a future couple more interested in interacting with their companions on this "first date" than with each other. In retrospect, we realized it was more out of nerves than it was genuine interest in our respective friends' jokes and rambling (sorry, Karen and Tony). But following our unceremonious introductions, we allowed the night to progress, drinking poorly made cocktails and consuming sub-par, Jack Daniels-infused food; you know, what any self-respecting person does whilst at a TGI Friday's. As the liquid courage began to take effect, so did the realization that something special could be here as we hit it off, leaning on our same sense of humor throughout the night to strike an immediate connection. We've had a long journey since that TGI Friday's night, spanning seven-plus years building a strong, stable, loving relationship, and we could fill an entire website with stories and key milestones from raising dogs together to purchasing our first home together. But as we look back on what we've accomplished so far, we are so grateful for the growth we've achieved both individually and as a couple; that growth is not mutually exclusive. We have established an incredible foundation, one we feel is significantly more special than words can express; there is love, there is respect, there is genuine care for one another, and ultimately, we hold an unbreakable connection that has made us perfect matches for each other. While our journey may seem long to some, this is just the beginning. We are incredibly excited for what lies ahead and we cannot wait to share this momentous occasion with our family & friends. Our story may not be one of fairy tales, but this wedding will be one for the books.
