Ryan and I met in June of 2018. Our first date was at the Arb. When he first asked me out, I was very anxious. I talked to my friend (Shout out to Sydney!) and decided I would go. On the day of our date, I was almost an hour late and he stayed and waited for me. He even got me an uber! We walked around the arb and hit it off right away. We showed each other memes and talked about SpongeBob. From the arb, we went to north campus and walked around there. Our date was 8 hours long. After our first date, we talked on the phone pretty much every single day and hung out with each other every weekend. Ryan et moi nous sommes rencontrés en juin 2018. Notre premier rendez-vous était à l’Arb. Quand il m’a invitée à sortir, j’étais très nerveuse. J’ai parlé avec mon amie (shout out à Sydney !/Merci Sydney !) et j’ai décidé d’y aller. Le jour de notre rendez-vous, j’avais presque une heure de retard, et il est resté et m’a attendue. Il m’a même envoyé un Uber (service de taxi en ligne) ! On s’est promenés autour de l’Arb et on a immédiatement connecté. On s’est montré des mêmes et avons parlé de Bob l’Éponge. Depuis l’Arb, on est allés vers le Campus Nord et nous sommes promenés. Notre rendez-vous a duré 8 heures. Après notre rendez-vous, on s’est téléphoné presque tous les jours et nous sommes vus presque tous les weekends/toutes les fins de semaine.

On October 13th, 2022, I was going to Atlanta for my sister-in-law's baby shower. My flight was in the evening, so Ryan called off work to hang out with me before I left. We went metal detecting early that morning at a park close to our apartment. He buried a fake ring that I dug up. Once I got it out, he pulled out the real ring from his pocket and popped the question. My friends were hidden and captured the whole thing! It was an amazing and unique proposal. Mon vol était dans la soirée, alors Ryan a pris sa journée et est venu passer du temps avec moi avant que je ne m’en aille. Nous sommes partis faire de la détection de métaux tôt le mâtin dans un parc proche de notre appartement. Il a enterré une fausse bague que j’ai déterrée. Une fois que je l’ai prise, il a sorti la vraie bague de sa poche et m’a fait sa demande. Mes amis étaient cachés et ont tout filmé ! C’était une demande merveilleuse et unique.
