We're Getting Married!

Ryan and I met at SUNY Cortland during my freshman year of college. We happened to sit next to each other in a class that we shared, and then saw each other out at a bar that weekend. We stayed together throughout college and both of us graduated. Shortly after, Ryan accepted a job in Arizona, which was difficult for us. However, throughout those 2.5 years, Ryan and I were able to do long distance. I focused on graduate school for Speech-Langage Pathology in New York, and he focused on his new career in Federal Law Enforcement. We supported each other greatly throughout that time. We made sure to make time for each other, even when it felt impossible to find time to actually visit with school and work. In 2019, Ryan came to New York to visit. He took me to our favorite spot- a spot we visited everytime he was able to get down to NY. He handed me a letter and asked me to turn around and read it. By that time, I was already in tears! When I turned back around, he was on his knee. Here we are today, planning the wedding of my dreams in a place I feel most happy and at peace- Long Beach Island, NJ. Ryan and I didn't have the same path as some others. We spent a lot of time in our relationship in a cross-country long distance relationship. I can't wait to celebrate this, and I'm so thankful for everything that we did go through because it only made us stronger! Thank you all for coming to celebrate our story with us!
