Courtney, a Colorado native met Ryan a Midwest transplant during 4th of July weekend in 2016. Ryan knew he had found someone special when he couldn’t get enough of her beautiful eyes, cute bubbly personality, funny jokes and outgoing nature. After about 2 weeks of nonstop texting, the two decided to go on a couple dates to see if they were compatible. Their love of great food, dogs, pop culture, holidays, comedy movies, and sports was what brought them together, but it would be each other’s personal past times and interests that would truly bond them together. Courtney showed Ryan the greater things in and around Colorado, like the best restaurants, food and drink events, sporting events, and how to “not act like a total transplant”. While Ryan reintroduced outdoor activities to Courtney like hiking and exploring nature. He also introduced skiing to her and coached her up until she could easily navigate some of Colorado’s best slopes like Aspen Mountain, Copper Mountain, Winter Park, Eldora and Steamboat. Finally, in January 2020, after very careful planning, Ryan brought Courtney on a weekend ski trip to Aspen. Saturday morning after a few ski runs, and a break for a beer, it was there on the top of Aspen Mountain where he got on one knee and asked her to marry him. After calling their families and friends, the two enjoyed champagne, a 5 star dinner, cherishing every moment which was seriously the best day ever. The two chose Boulder as their destination for their wedding. Why you ask? Courtney’s parents were married there, it has a great food scene, breathtaking mountain scenery, top breweries, numerous hikes and outdoor activities, and is just a flatout fun place to be. Their hope was to share this great setting and these great activities with you our guests. Courtney and Ryan chose Boulder Colorado because its a fun and lively place, like the two of them.
