These are some close-to town hikes we recommend. They have varying degrees of difficulty- and remember to account for the elevation here! --Apex Open Space Park- 5.5 mile loop, moderate --Chatfield State Park- lots of options for easy trips --Flat Irons- multiple options for easy to difficult hikes --Garden of the Gods- multiple trails of varying degrees of difficulty --Golden Gate Canyon- multiple trail options, moderate --Herman Gulch- 6.3 mile trail, moderate-difficult --Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater- easy hiking and get to tour Colorado's most famous music venue! --Rim Rock Trail- multiple trail options, easy to moderate --Table Mountain (North and South)- moderate difficulty --Waterton Canyon- easy --We also love walking through our local parks including City Park, Washington Park, Cheesman Park, Crestomoor Park, Cranmer Park
Restaurants
Take a tour through our relationship history by visiting some of these restaurants that have important memories for us! --Mezcal- 3230 E Colfax Ave --our first date! There are a bunch of other great restaurants in this area as well. --Oblio's Pizzeria- 6115 E 22nd Ave- our favorite pizza place, right next to our first house together. Also check out nearby Tables for some fancy food, and Cake Crumbs Bakery and Cafe for coffee and baked goods. --Blue Pan Pizza- multiple locations, our other favorite pizza --La Pasadita Inn- 1959 Park Ave West-- site of the majority of our dates for the first year of dating. Best place around for divey Mexican food. --Betha's- 900 Jersey Street-- our neighborhood dive, we go weekly- at least. Best margs we've ever had! Other favorite date spots: WashPark Grill, AceEatServe, Dos Santos, Gallo, Lowry Beer Garden, Stanley Marketplace. The fancy hip places are in the Highlands, it's too cool for us over there but google can point you in the right direction
Breweries
No shortage of good breweries in Denver. I enjoy: Bierstadt Lagerhaus; Denver Beer Company; and Platt Park Brewing to name a few. Feel free to reach out if you're looking for a good place to grab food too (we've found a few!) .
