Ryan was living in Quincy, in an apartment with his good friend Hank the pitbull. Knowing the Catie was a dog lover, he asked her to come walk Hank during the week while he was working. Hank did not like this at first. Catie was not Ryan, and Ryan was good (in Hanks mind). After many walks, a thorough treatment of hugs and kisses, he figured out Ryan was in love. Once he realized Ryan was in love, he didn't want her to leave, and neither did Ryan. They've been together ever since.
Catie loves skating, she was a figure skater in her youth, and loves the ice. Unfortunately, one of the many quirks both Ryan and Catie share is a pair of enormous feet. While Catie had an old pair of size 11 skates, Ryan hasn't had any luck finding a good pair of size 16 skates (still looking!). In a hap-hazard scheme, Ryan recruited his friend Alex to take some candid photos while he did his best to propose on the ice in Providence, RI. Thankfully, by the luck of the Irish, the size 15 rentals they had just barely fit, and they were off! Having been off the ice for years, and never having known how to stop, Ryan managed to propose with only minor injuries, she said "yes!" and they came away with some wonderful pictures, a great story, and even better memories.
Ryan and Catie are loving, and in love. They are also procrastinators, worriers, they're confident, they're anxious, they're creative, they're understanding, they're problem solvers, they have their successes, they have their failures, they're great friends, they're a pain in the butt. One thing is certain, they get each other. Two people in this huge world that find and understand each other is as rare as gold, or more accurately, neptunium.
