How We Met

For Ryan, it was love at first sight. We grew up in the same town, went to different high schools, had mutual friends, but never met. We were friends on Facebook for seven years before we finally crossed paths. Ryan saw a picture of me and said, "that will be my wife." He asked me on four dates before I finally agreed to go on what I considered a "friendly outing." Little did I know, this "friendly outing" to a braves game would turn into the first day of the rest of our lives. On the first date, he showed up to pick me up and asked to meet my dad. Game over. From that day forward, we couldn't stand being apart. He quickly became my best friend and someone I couldn't imagine living without.

The Proposal

5.27.17

Savannah. GA. The most nervous I've ever been. Cam asked if I wanted to go to Savannah for the weekend to spend some time with our friends. She had no idea I had plans to propose in front of our families that Sunday. In 10 minutes, I completely changed all of the plans I originally had. When I got to river street and saw her, I completely forgot how to be normal. All I could think about was how many people were around and how badly I wanted to get this ring out of my pocket and on to her finger. Finally, I got down on one knee and time stood still. All the sudden, it seemed like all people on the crowded street disappeared. I told her how much I loved her and asked if she'd be my wife. Of course, she answered with lots of tears and a big YES. We cannot wait to start a life together!
