We are so excited to get married and share our wedding celebration with you. Like everything we have done so far, our wedding will not be traditional, and instead, we want to have a less formal fun party with our closest friends and family.
Ryan and Caitlin’s story started through a shared passion for adventure and helping others. Both had spent years volunteering with a nonprofit scuba diving group that takes people with disabilities diving. Even with their shared circles, they hadn’t met—until a group trip to Honduras brought them onto the same team. As dive partners, they spent a lot of time together that week—at first out of necessity, but it quickly became clear there was something more. Ryan jokes that he knew right away: “She was traveling, diving, and helping people. I didn’t stand a chance.” Caitlin likes to say he “grew on her,” and their friendship naturally deepened as the trip went on. They left Honduras without saying how they felt, assuming they’d go their separate ways. But in a funny twist, they ended up sitting next to each other on the flight home—Ryan in the middle seat between Caitlin and her dad, Mike, who still jokes that Ryan must’ve pulled some strings to make it happen. From that moment, they were inseparable. What started with shared passions turned into something real and lasting—built on laughter, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for life’s unexpected moments.
Since the day we met, life has been a whirlwind—in the best way possible. Our shared love for travel has taken us from St. Croix to Boston, Hawaii, and Mexico, where we celebrated Calvin’s first international adventure. His baby passport photos still make us laugh—tiny mug shots full of personality. Navigating life with a newborn while managing a home remodel has been a true balancing act. We couldn’t have done it without the incredible support from our friends and family. The pace has been fast—some might call it organized chaos—but through it all, we've grown even closer. We’re so excited for everything the future holds and to keep building this beautiful life together.
