Our story started mid lockdown. I was on a travel contract in Redding, California and wanted to make some friends. A coworker snatched my phone one night when we were out for drinks and showed me Ryan's online profile. I was instantly drawn in and thought I'd at least spark a conversation. Ryan and I were talking on and off for about a month. He would take FOREVER to respond and I swear he was not interested at all but come to find out, he was working all sorts of weird hours and thought it was weird using instagram for a while to talk. I wanted to make sure he wasn't a creep and so I didn't want him to know my location or whatever with snapchat (justifying it since I am the one writing this lol). We had plans to go on a date to see where things went but then Ryan got the 'rona. We pushed the date out 2 weeks because of quarantine and then went to the Christmas light show...to find out it was closed on Monday's. So we decided to drive around town and look at the Christmas lights and grab dinner. I'll admit, both Ryan and I were really nervous but I swore he was not having a good time and did not like me. I brought up a second date for the next night, he accepted but I was still convinced he didn't like me. We both honestly thought that which is nutty. Ryan was a perfect gentleman, dropped me off at home and walked me to the door. The next night, we went back to the light show and walked through. It started raining which was annoying but it was a good time. The rest is history. We have since moved back to WI from CA and welcomed our beautiful daughter, Hazel, into the world and also have our dog, Ella. Our family of four is something I never imagined I would have but am so incredibly thankful that I do. Forever thankful for my coworker that showed me Ryan's profile, crazy how those things work and how much they change your life.
