Saint Remy Street Market
This market is a must visit if you are in Saint Remy! Every Wednesday morning, hundreds of vendors line the streets to sell their goods. It has everything you want in a Provençal market, from fruits and vegetables to olives and cheeses to colourful crafts. It starts early on Wednesday morning and finishes around noon, and you should go early because the market gets crowded. Bring cash! Very few vendors take card. There are multiple ATMs in town. There’s another market on Saturday morning but it’s very small.
Les Baux-de-Provence
Only a 10 minute drive through the mountains from Saint Remy, Les Baux is a beautiful Provencal village built into the rock hillside overlooking the Alpilles mountains. A few restaurants + bistros to eat & drink at during your time there. The views are breath taking- you can see the Mediterranean on a clear day!
Lunch at Bistrot de Paradou

Châteauneuf-du-Pape
If you love wine as much as us, this is a can't miss day trip! Some of our favorite wine in the world comes from here and you can explore this small village in half a day. Walk into any of the numerous wine tasting caves in town and try some of the best wine ever made!
Arles
If you want to see Ancient Roman Empire ruins, explore culture & arts (many Van Gogh specific sites), and shop some incredible local stores; make the day trip to Arles. We loved this town and its melting pot of cultures.
Van Gogh Walk in Saint-Remy
If you are interested in art & culture, we recommend embarking on the Van Gogh route in Saint Remy. Van Gogh arrived in Saint Remy after suffering from his mental crisis in Arles. While he was hospitalized in this area, he created over 150 paintings: including Mountains of Saint Remy. Enjoy this easy walk to view a few of the locations of his famous pieces!
