Our Story Over the Decade

Ryan and Breanna met through a mutual friend who recommended they go on a date together, so they did! Their first date in 2013 was the first time they met, even though they were both from the same town and went to the same high school. Ryan asked Breanna out, who was a freshman in college at the time, and they met for a lunch date. Ryan was bummed that Breanna did not feel too good because she was getting over a cold. Ryan remembers Breanna being quiet, so he tried his best to steer the conversation. Breanna was nervous but appreciated Ryan's respectful attempts. While it was a good date, they mutually did not pursue dating but did enjoy running into each other sporadically for the next few years. After some years of being mutual acquaintances and their occasional run-ins, they officially reconnected over music. Ryan noticed that Breanna had shared a band on her Snapchat story that he had seen in concert and reached out to her. From then, they started really connecting. When Breanna moved back home from Cleveland in 2018, Ryan asked her out for a late-night slice of pie at the local diner. There, they talked music and all started to fall into place. After a couple months together, they knew it was "too late to turn back now" (lyrics from their song) because they had fallen in love. Ryan proposed to Breanna on December 25th, 2022, at his parents' home in front of the Christmas tree. He claims he could not wait to propose until the Spring, as he initially planned, and that the moment felt right! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ Most excited during wedding to: We are probably most excited to dance together to our song, but dancing will be especially fun for Ryan, he loves to get his groove on! 5 words about our relationship: Laughing, conversating, growing, openness, and loving. Things we have learned: We have both learned to be open to learning and be conscious of when to listen and where to grow to be better people and for each other. Ryan's favorite thing about Breanna: Her effort towards spontaneity (because she is a natural planner), and capacity for love, and her eyes. Breanna's favorite thing about Ryan: His patience, willingness to listen, his warm hugs and unwavering love. Breanna feels most loved by Ryan when: He thinks of the little things that show the most love and the way he looks at her when she doesn't know it and catches him smiling at her. Ryan feels loved by Breanna when: She gives him support when she knows he needs to hear some positivity and the way she is able to get him to bring his guard down and be vulnerable.
