Our Story
We met the way all great love stories begin: in a calculus class at NAU. Ariel sat in the front row. Ryan sat behind her. When Ariel brought her Nintendo Switch to class and asked him to play Smash Bros, a friendship was born.
We became best friends, then roommates, and after one too many introductions as “my roommate… my friend?” a slightly frantic conversation at Ariel’s grandparents’ house finally answered the question: we were dating. Apparently, we had been for a while.
Three months later, Ariel walked into Ryan’s room and said, “So there’s this dog…” That’s how Murphy joined our lives.
Since then, we’ve built a life filled with games, shared adventures, delicious meals, and somehow everything, including moving to a new state, feels easier when we are attached at the hip. In Mexico City, surrounded by our best friends, Ryan proposed. She said yes.
Marriage feels less like a beginning and more like continuing what we’ve already built... plus some added tax benefits.
