Dream Catcher Ranch sits on high on a mountainside overlooking Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree. The main road up the mountain (in the direction of Flamingo Heights) is a paved highway, however, when you turn off onto Cobalt Rd (which connects to Cholla) it becomes dirt. It's approximately 1.2mi from the main road to the property. Cars will manage fine, no 4WD required, just take it slow. There is ample parking up by the venue.
Dress up, but don't worry about being too formal - we'd rather you be comfortable! There is indoor space but the majority of the events will be outdoors. The terrain can be uneven and is sandy, so we'd recommend avoiding sandals and open-toed shoes. Ladies, stilettos would be a bad time. Temps drop quickly when the sun goes down, and wind plays a significant factor in how chilly it will be. We will have plenty of heaters and blankets for people to use, but please bring a coat, a nice warm coat. Just in case we have a blustery evening.
There is ample parking up the hill by the venue; however, carpooling is recommended whenever possible. For those not wishing to drive, we don't blame you. Ride shares and taxi's WILL take you up to the property (we used them when we attended another wedding at the venue) but we recommend messaging them about the conditions prior to pickup. The dirt road at night can make a driver nervous if they haven't been up there, so if necessary we can arrange someone to drive you down to the main road for pickup.
