Alyson and Ryan met and started dating in August of 2017. One week and three dates later, they both knew that this was something special. From then on, they spent every possible minute together and never missed a weekend apart. Alyson quickly fell for his playful sense of humor and love of puns, while Ryan loved her positive view on life. 6 weeks later the words "I love you" were said, and feeling called to build a life together, they decided to make it official in Charleston, SC on August 25!

Alyson knew that Ryan wouldn't ask her to marry him until he talked to her mom. Little did she know, Ryan had met with Alyson's mom and step-dad Joe the day before he was planning to propose to get their blessing... Ryan even took Alyson's mom flowers. The next day, Ryan and Alyson decided to take a trip to one of Alyson's favorite cities... Charleston, SC. Ryan surprised Alyson by taking her to Boone Hall Plantation. There, under the gorgeous avenue of oaks, Ryan asked Alyson to be his wife.
