Our story begins in January of 2020, and like many these days, it was kicked off by two strangers swiping right. Ryan asked "Tacos and Tequila or Pizza and Beer?", to which Ally replied the correct answer and our first date was set for Parlor Pizza. We hit it off immediately – bonding over our lives in Chicago, talking about our families, and our love for college basketball. As fate would have it, our alma maters were playing each other a few days after our first date. Ally was ecstatic when Ryan ended the date on a confident bet: if Indiana beat Michigan State, she would have to go on a second date with him. Ally replied that he could have the second date regardless of the winner, but the loser had to buy the drinks (a bet that Ally would later regret). After two months of fun dates around the city and getting to know each other, a pandemic forced Ally and Ryan to decide if this was something serious, or if we'd let each other go. Thankfully, we chose the former and it's the best decision we've ever made. Instead of bar hopping and trying new restaurants, we had to spend time at home and envision what real life could look like together. As it turns out, real life together looked pretty damn good. Over the years, we've had the opportunity to travel the country together and explore all that Chicago has to offer. We’ve spent time with both families and all our friends, talked about dreams and our future, and fallen head over heels for each other. After three and a half incredible years, Ryan popped the question in Ally's favorite spot in the city. We could not be more excited to be getting married and cannot wait to enjoy the day with our family and closest friends.
