Ryan and Nick shared the brunt of their university and curling years together, sharing the highs and lows of competitive sport together. Still close friends as each one hits different milestones in life, Ryan was the best man for Nick at his wedding and Nick is dutifully returning the favour!

A former curling teammate of Ryan and Nick, Benny and Ryan enjoyed socializing with the greater curling family over the post-curling years. The two lived together for a year and a half (and briefly with the bride-to-be), and "Uncle Ben" was instrumental in helping to raise the 7 kitties that were born in the home!

Alex and Caitlin have leaned on each other throughout junior high, high school, and university. They also grew up competing in dance, and later were part of a dance company at the UofA. Caitlin is Alex's go-to movie and concert buddy, always bringing the laughs and snacks.

Meeting in grade one, Ryan and Brock were friends all throughout school, university, and beyond. Ryan considers Brock the ultimate DIYer and loves having such an unfiltered and unapologetic authentic voice in his life!

Dana and Alex met in undergrad, getting through their research courses together! They have spent countless nights watching Harry Potter and baking/cooking, and Alex is so fortunate to have a friend like her with a heart of gold.

The politically-correct thing is to say that Ryan and Jensen enjoy talking about mechanical and computer systems. But Ryan and Jensen both hate political correctness, so they enjoy spending MUCH more time talking unfiltered about their thoughts on society! Ryan met Jensen as Vinay's brother, but have since formed a good friendship as the two of them.

Alex and Elise go way back to junior high, and have been through every major milestone together. They love going for sushi, drinks, and yapping! Alex is sad that Elise lives in Calgary now, but she knows she's always just a FaceTime away.

Meeting in high school, Nick and Ryan have horsed around on weekend trips, around campfires, and over the pool table. Nick and Ryan share a passion for woodworking and mechanical projects, although Ryan has yet to reach the bar set by Nick on home improvement.

Alex and Kaitlin grew up dancing together; they had countless sleepovers and long nights of playing Just Dance! Kaitlin is not only hilarious but is an incredibly loyal friend, and she spends her days teaching dance and working as a registered nurse.

Ryan and Sean have been friends since junior high, and have enjoyed each other's presence both solo and in their main high school group. Ryan and Sean have done some epic camping trips including to the Northwest Territories, but equally as enjoyable are the everyday fires or social gatherings they partake in.

Madi was Alex's research mentor, and soon after they became good friends! They share a love of cats and the Oilers. Madi is incredibly smart (she's finishing up her PhD!), and is like an older sister to Alex.

Vinay and Ryan's friendship really grew in university, where they were each other's go-tos for class and dating issues/advice over the course of a few beers. The two have shared in many mountain and camping trips over the years, both as a duo and with larger groups.
