Can my child come to the wedding?

Answer

If your wedding invitation is addressed to "The _____ Family" (i.e. "The Rohrman Family", "The Husted Family", etc.), then your children are invited. We ask that children under 7 do not attend the ceremony, but are welcome at the reception. We will be contacting families whose children are invited to our wedding with babysitting options. Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a hotel block at the Hyatt Regency Aventine in La Jolla (where the post wedding party and the Sunday brunch are taking place) and the Residence Inn in La Jolla. Check out our Travel page for that information!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, there will be! However, if you prefer to rent a car, there is plenty of parking at the Birch Aquarium.

I'm coming in from out-of-town, do I need to rent a car?

Answer

To help you make that choice, here is some information: the Birch Aquarium has a lot of parking spaces, as do both of the recommended hotels. We are providing transportation to and from the hotels to the aquarium on the day of the wedding. If you plan on doing a lot of sightseeing on your trip, consider a car, but Lyft and Uber are highly recommended in San Diego!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

If you have a food allergy, please put this on your RSVP card, which you should receive with the wedding invitation. You can also email us at alessandra.and.ryan@gmail.com if you have any concerns.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invite says, "and Guest," then yes, but if not, then we prefer if it were just you. Please call or email us with any questions!

Can I bring a dog/cat/llama/etc.?

Answer

The bride is having a reoccurring nightmare about Toby or Winston diving into the tide pools and eating precious starfish mid-ceremony, so please, no animals.

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Due to the fragility of the fish and the fact that the aquarium is on a cliff, no sudden movements are allowed. Going to be a Footloose-themed wedding.
