How We Met

There is a blessing in waiting.

We met through Joy, Ryan’s foster mom, who had been faithfully praying for him to meet a woman who loves God. At the same time, Virginia, Abihail’s aunt, had a niece who was patiently waiting for the man that God had handpicked for her. On a Saturday night, February 17, Sunday morning, February 18 in the Philippines—Abihail received a call from her aunt, introducing her to a single, handsome, and hardworking man who was prayerfully seeking a wife. From their very first conversation, Ryan knew in his heart that she was the one he was going to marry. From that day forward, Ryan called Abihail every day, and their friendship grew deeply despite the distance. Just three weeks later, Ryan booked a ticket to the Philippines. On June 15, 2024, they met in person for the very first time. That day, Ryan met Abihail’s family and sincerely expressed his intentions to her parents. After four months of heartfelt conversations and growing love, they became engaged—an answer to years of prayer, hope, and God’s perfect timing.
