We're getting married!

Abbie and Ryan met in the Spring of 2013 during Track and Field; Ryan hurdled and Abbie pole-vaulted. They started dating in November of 2013, went to two proms together, and spent most of their dates at McDonald's.

Ryan began college at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 2015 as Abbie finished up her senior year of high school. In December of 2018, Ryan graduated from the U of M with a Journalism and English degree. Abbie began college at Iowa State University in Ames in 2016, a far 225 miles from Ryan! She graduated in December of 2019 with a degree in Linguistics.

Ryan proposed to Abbie on a snowy hill on March 21, 2019. In April, he moved to Fort Myers FL to begin his job as a news producer, adding another 1,200 miles to their distance! But not for long -- Abbie will soon join him after their wedding in March : )

We are sad to announce that we have made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding ceremony and reception due to the recent CDC regulation on events over 50 people. We will still be getting married on Saturday, March 21 with our immediate families and wedding party. If we have not reached out to you about this yet, please know that we are doing our best to notify everyone in a timely manner. Our hope is that we will be able to reschedule a wedding vow renewal ceremony, dinner, and dance for a later date, most likely in the early fall. Keep your eyes out for Save The Date #2! If you were planning on purchasing a gift from our registry (first of all, thank you!!) we would ask that you either buy it from our registry now so we can ship it to our home in Florida, or hold onto it until we reschedule a reception celebration. And of course, your presence would be a gift enough to us :) Please be praying for us during this difficult time, as well as for everyone else who has been affected from this global tragedy. We love you all, and hope to be able to celebrate with you sometime this year — we will keep you updated! <3
