Wedding Party

Jamie Goetz

Maid of Honor

Long time sister, first time MOH. The woman who has witnessed and survived all of the bride's eras. The woman who endured nonstop car rides only listening to Jonas Brothers. The woman who witnessed the bride trying to learn math...and then French. The only woman who's chucked a cheeseburger at the bride's head and lived. And yes, the woman who shared a bathroom with the bride for 24 years...is very honored to stand at her sister's side on her wedding day and has been happily waiting for this moment her whole life!

Meghan Bailer

Bridesmaid

The first time I met Alex and Ryan was back in the summer of 2022 through Sophia. Alex and I didn’t really get to know each other until that fall—during the infamous Eagles tailgate. From that day on, we instantly clicked and have basically been inseparable ever since! We’ve bonded over our shared obsession with Taylor Swift, our love for sauvignon blanc (or savuy b as we like to call it), wearing pink, grabbing drinks and dinner, and of course, playfully giving our men a hard time. The list goes on. Meeting Alex has truly been one of the best things to come out of that year. She’s kind, caring, and incredibly empathetic—someone who genuinely goes out of her way to make her friends feel loved and special. Having her in my life has made it brighter, happier, and about ten times better.

Mandi Hughes

Bridesmaid

Alli, Megan, and I have been best friends since kindergarten. I don’t remember the exact moment we became friends, but we’ve been inseparable since. Although we went to different high schools and colleges, the moment we hung out it was like no time passed in between - we picked up right where we left off.  From the Jonas Brothers, to girls night, to Eagles tailgates, and all of the laughs and cries in between, Alli has been the best friend a girl could ask for!

Sophia Iliadis

Bridesmaid

I’ve known Ryan since college, but when he told me there was someone I had to meet at a Phillies beer festival, I had a feeling this girl might be the one for him. And who knew I’d be right! My connection with Alex was immediate and effortless. It was one of those rare friendships you feel in your gut from the very first moment. From our wine nights to our endless laughing fits, I like to joke that I love Alex almost as much as she loves Taylor Swift… but the truth is, our bond feels like it was always meant to be. I am beyond grateful to stand by her side today and always! Cheers to the Cantwell’s and all the love ahead!

Megan Monaco

Bridesmaid

I’ve known Alli since kindergarten, along with our best friend Mandi, we collectively could not tell you how we all met. From every summer together, going to countless Jonas Brothers concerts, we were very rarely apart. Our parents and siblings are even best friends with each other, we’re one giant family that I’ve grown to cherish deeply. Alli is such a bright light in our group, she’s hilarious and is always there when you need her. I’m so happy to call her one of my best friends and I’m so excited for this next chapter she’s about to embark on.

Maria Sharp

Bridesmaid

7 years ago I was introduced to Ryan & Alex at a Phillies game through our best friend Sophia. From day 1, Alex and I bonded (as fellow Swifties usually do). It was also clear from that first meet just how obsessed Ryan was with Alex. After that first meet, I had a feeling Alex would become a forever friend and I was right. Fast forward to 2022, Alex stood by my side as one of my bridesmaids. And now I am so honored to do the same and stand by her side on her big day! We all are so excited for the future Mr. & Mrs. Cantwell!

Mary Kate Shaw

Bridesmaid

Alli and I met sophomore year of college as we were living next door to one another. Somehow, Alli found her way into my world, and I couldn’t be happier about it! We instantly clicked and ended up living together for the next two years. From Taylor Swift concerts to road trips and beach getaways, we’ve shared so many laughs and all the good times in between! Even though we live hours apart every visit feels like no time has passed. I’m so lucky to call her my friend, she is my lax bro for life!

Carley Youwakim

Bridesmaid

As the groom’s sister, I’ve had a front-row seat to his life—from backyard games as kids to his lifelong obsession with all things Philadelphia sports. When he met Alex over seven years ago, we could instantly see how special their connection was. And we knew she was truly the one when she didn’t just tolerate his passionate sports enthusiasm—she gracefully embraced it! From planning themed game-day snacks at the famous Eagles Tailgate, to wearing the cutest sports clothes, Alex always finds her unique way of adding her own sparkle to every rivalry game and joining his world. Watching their relationship grow over the years has been such a joy, and I’m honored to stand by them on their big day!

Luke Cantwell

Best Man

Spending my whole life with an older brother like Ryan has been a privilege. My big brother, “Reds”, is the lucky man tying the knot with his beautiful fiancée, Alex. The special bond that is created between two brothers is a feeling that only brothers fully understand. My built-in best friend Ryan is the glue to our family and lights up every room he makes his way into. I have been fortunate enough to have a front seat to their love and look forward to the lifelong memories with our newest addition, Alex.  Watching him grow into the man he is today has been incredible, and seeing him with Alex makes it all feel complete. She brings out the best in Ryan in ways I didn’t even know were possible. Alex and Ryan are happiest with each other and have added such an amazing piece to my life. Together, they have a perfect balance of humor, love, creativity, and I couldn’t be happier to welcome Alex into our family.

Ross Choate

Groomsman

Hi everyone, my name is Ross and I am one of the groomsmen. I was recruited here solely for Ryan's moral support.. And the open bar, but mostly for moral support. Since Ryan and I are cousins, I don't really remember the day we "met", but I have about 26 years of memories that will hopefully make up for that. Some of my earliest memories with my older cousin include his extreme obsession with Thomas the tank engine, playing Sonic the Hedgehog on the SEGA console, and our home run derby competitions at Barness park. While Ryan and I are both the first born in our families, We share pleasure in having some amazing younger siblings. Fortunately for me, however, I have always been able to count on Ryan as the older brother I never had. Whether it be celebrating an Eagles' super bowl win, playing softball for "Wasted Talent", or sneaking out to Wawa at 2am in the green Honda civic, Ryan always knows how to keep life interesting and instill wisdom in all of his younger siblings and cousins. Not only is he always the life of the party, but he also never seems to miss a beer or chicken wing special anywhere on the east coast. I am so happy to be a part of his and Alex's special day and I wish them nothing but happiness in their days ahead! If you need to find me on wedding day, I'll be on the dance floor!

Patrick Doherty

Groomsman

From saints youth football to adult beer league softball, Cantwell and I have always been on the same team except when we weren’t. I always looked up to Cantwell, not for wisdom but because it felt like he was always 6’5. I am extremely honored to stand with Cantwell on one of the best days of his life (followed closely by Eagles Super Bowl). Some of my best memories and stories involve Cantwell. He always teaches me new ways to cheat in golf and cards as well as how to make sure people will never forget you. If you ever need a complete breakdown from day 1 of a particular sports topic, Cantwell is the go to guy. He is truly one of a kind person and I am lucky to call him a friend.

John Fleming

Groomsman

Hi everyone, my name is John and I’m one of the groomsmen - and depending on who you ask, arguably Ryan’s favorite cousin. The evidence? When I was just one month old, Ryan liked me so much that he nearly took me out at his 3rd birthday party. Now, the official family version is that he tried to take me out with his favorite candy. But according to Ryan, he was simply overcome with generosity after receiving a 5lb bag of Swedish Fish and decided the best way to celebrate was to share some with his newborn cousin. A sweet gesture…except for the minor detail: I had no teeth, no motor skills, and was one gummy candy away from becoming a cautionary tale. But intentions matter - and Ryan’s were pure. He just wanted his baby cousin to enjoy his favorite snack with him. I’ve since forgiven him, though I’m still cautious around bulk candy. Growing up, Ryan became the older brother I never had. From playing baseball and wiffle ball in the backyard, to spending entire afternoons in the basement with trains, to eventually buying me beers once I was "old enough" - Ryan has always been there. He’s one of the most loving, caring, and genuinely good-hearted people you'll ever meet, and I’m forever grateful for the laughter, support, and trouble we’ve gotten into together over the years. I couldn’t be happier to stand by him and Alex on their big day. And if you need me at the wedding, I’ll be wherever the music is loudest - or wherever the Swedish Fish are not. Cheers to the Cantwells!

Patrick Lynskey

Groomsman

I have known Ryan since we were kids - present for his unfortunate pant ripping disaster at the Doherty tire swing. He loves that story, feel free to ask him about it. What Ryan lacks in height he makes up for in personality, he definitely brings the life (and volume) to whatever room he enters. He couldn't be more passionate about sports and everything that comes along with it, and is always there to help or lend a hand with anything anyone would need. I am very lucky to call him one of my closest friends.. expect for when he reminds me I suck at softball. The reminders aren't needed, I know.

Michael Marcantonini

Groomsman

I met Ryan during the summer of 2013 right before we started college, and we were roommates during our freshman year. Ryan and I quickly became friends through our shared love of baseball and Philly sports. We have a lot of good memories from college like going to basketball games and parties, playing flag football and common room soccer, beach trips, and a lot of inside jokes. Ryan got me hooked on the show “24” and always helped me with my math homework, and I got him hooked on country music and carried him through his Spanish classes. We’ve stayed close friends ever since then and I know that will continue. Ryan has always been one of my most loyal and trustworthy friends, and I’m so happy he ended up with Alex. Ryan introduced me to Alex shortly after they started dating. It was easy to see how nice and genuine she is, and we just always seem to be on the same page. Having Alex become one of my close friends has been awesome and I really appreciate how she’s welcomed me in as one of her close friends too. Ryan and Alex are both great people and they’re even better together.

Joe McCabe

Groomsman

Joe met Ryan at a surprise birthday party in high school, where Ryan, the boisterous and unfiltered extrovert, greeted him at the door like he was running the event. Joe, an introvert, was immediately overwhelmed, slightly terrified, and certain this very energetic stranger was going to be a problem… and he was right. Little did Joe know, he had just met one of his best friends. Joe is the rule follower of the duo, balancing out Ryan’s “let’s just buy Flyers tickets from this guy in the corner and see what happens” confidence. Despite Joe’s constant fear that this will be the time it all goes wrong, Ryan somehow always manages to make it work out in the end. Joe’s known for one thing: after he gets drunk, he falls asleep anywhere. After the wedding, finding him will essentially be a live-action game of Where’s Waldo? (Check the lawn first).

James Youwakim

Groomsman

I first met Ryan when I started dating his beautiful sister Carley a few years back. Fast-forward to today, we are officially brothers-in-laws as I have recently been promoted to “super significant other”. Ryan and I share a passion for sports, including our love for the Phillies, as well as a friendly rivalry between our beloved Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, often placing wagers in which Ryan ends up wearing Cowboys memorabilia. He has tried to help me with my golf swing (I am a terrible golfer) … and the lessons have paid off! I somehow managed to hit him in a moving golf cart from 125 yards out during a golf day a few years ago. All jokes aside, I am proud and honored to stand by Ryan’s side on his wedding day. Alex and Ryan make a fantastic couple and we are so excited to officially welcome Alex into the family (super significant other club). They bring out the best in each other, and it’s been a privilege to witness their relationship evolve into the beautiful partnership we will all celebrate together.
