Over the years, our adventures have strengthened our love for each other. My passion for music brought us together and caused our move to DC were we enjoyed culture and food. We embraced our ideal lifestyle in Wisconsin spending time outdoors fishing, hiking, camping and skiing with family. Ryan knew that my passion for being outside and taking pictures would be the perfect equation for a surprise proposal. He recruited his family to join us on a day trip skiing. I even prompted a photo session when the lighting was just right on that sunny winter day. Ryan insisted on a spot and that I get a picture with my ski’s off. I was surprised by his enthusiasm, but I went with it. I turned to smile at the camera and he got down on one knee at the top of Devils Head.  Two runs after I said yes to the love of my life I turned off the path and fell on my knee. Unfortunately, his proposal literally crippled me! Regardless, no matter what life throws at us we know that our love will prevail.
