Ryan & Ari met at a casual dinner with mutual friends at Buffalo Wild Wings in Landstown Commons. They had not met prior to dinner, and the friends had secretly arranged for the two to sit beside each other. After breaking the ice, engaging in conversation and indulging in food, Ryan handed Ari his “Matalon Meals” business card with his contact information. Little did Ryan & Ari know that their new friendship would leisurely turn into a budding romance!

The Seattle Seahawks were set to play in Baltimore against the Ravens on a Sunday in November of 2023. Ari had been wanting to go to a game, so Ryan booked tickets and said, “we’re going to the game”. The trip also doubled as an opportunity for them to visit with family in Northern VA. Upon setting up for a fun tailgate on game day (and to Ari’s surprise), her family showed up to witness Ryan’s proposal alongside Ryan’s family.
