Mount Greylock is the highest point in Massachusetts. From its peak on a clear day, you can see as far as 90 miles away. We recommend any of the following hikes: 1. Bradley Farm Trail - Distance: 1.8 miles (2.9 km), Time: 90 minutes, Elevation gain: 424 ft. (129 meters), Ability: easy 2. Rounds Rock & Jones Nose Loop - Distance: 2.8 miles (km), Time: 2-2.5 hours, Elevation gain: 217 ft. (66 meters), Ability: easy to moderate 2. Stony Ledge Trail - Distance: 3.8 miles (6.1 km), Time: 2.5-3 hours, Elevation gain: 494 ft. (151 meters), Ability: easy
While it may be tempting to take the highway up and get there a little bit faster, the scenery is unbeatable if you just go a little bit off the beaten path. The first time we traveled to the MoCA, we came from the Albany area and drove through the hills to North Adams. The same or similar scenery can be experienced by getting off 90 in Mass at the North Hampton exit and taking the county roads up to North Adams
