We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Jessie and Ryan were classmates at Shenendehowa High School. According to Ryan, they were best friends! According to Jessie, they were casual acquaintances. Either way, he made the bold move of asking her to Junior Prom, and she said yes! Throughout the evening, he was impressed by her wonderful dance moves, and she was wooed by his commitment to help pull 200 bobby pins out of her hair at the end of the night.

The first date was a success! Jessie and Ryan went on to date throughout high school, and also went to Senior Prom together. While they ended up attending colleges in different states, they rekindled their relationship in Boston in 2015 when Jessie got an internship just a few blocks away from Ryan's dorm. It was clear not much had changed when Ryan claimed he 'knew Boston so well' and proceeded to lead Jessie on an hour long search for ice cream in the rain, only to have Jessie spill it all over herself, yet they still had the best time! Throughout the next few years they shared many adventures, from traveling together while studying abroad in Europe at the same time, managing long-distance across several states and at times different continents, to the Blue Eyes debut in Holden and many mystery boxes in the Poconos, with quite a few Saratoga Lake jet ski rides and Lake Gaston breakfast sandwiches in between. After college, Jessie moved to Boston where they've enjoyed their most recent chapter discovering new breweries, playing board games, and trying out new hobbies like skiing and running. Their latest move has landed them in an apartment right next to Fenway Park (go Sox!) with their big beloved cat, Dunkin.

Shortly after moving in together in Boston, Jessie and Ryan got into running. When their half marathon in March, 2020 was cancelled the day before due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the race organizers offered them the opportunity to switch to a full marathon the following year at no additional charge. If you know Jessie, you know how much she loves a good deal. If you know Ryan, you know how much he loves a challenge. So on a bit of a whim, they signed up for their first full marathon (two consecutive half marathons for the price of one, who would pass that up?!). Fast forward through months of grueling training together, Jessie hatched a plan to cap off their achievement with a big question. On May 15th (almost 9 years after their first date), not only did they finish the race but Jessie managed to carry their engagement rings 26.2 miles without dropping them. At the finish line, exhausted and barely able to pull out the very well (perhaps too well?) secured rings, Jessie proclaimed "I'm proposing!" to which Ryan responded "No you're not. Oh ok, yeah do it!!". How romantic!
