Question

What are the travel requirements for Jamaica?

Answer

To travel to Jamaica, you must have a US Passport that is valid for AT LEAST 6 MONTHS after your intended travel date. For example, to travel home on 5/11/25, your passport must be valid through at least 11/11/25. You must also complete the electronic C5 immigration form (linked here: https://enterjamaica.com/). You can fill this out starting 30 days in advance of travel (we will send a reminder about this).

Question

Is Jamaica safe?

Answer

The resort is extremely safe - it is gated with security guards & the beach is private. As with all islands, there are areas of Jamaica that are less safe than others. However, these areas are not areas that tourists would often go to anyway. If you do not feel safe leaving the resort, there is no need to! It is an All Inclusive with pools, a beach, restaurants, entertainment & multiple bars, so there will be no shortage of fun there. If you do choose to leave the resort for an excursion, we'd recommend doing so through a tour company.

Question

How do I book my room?

Answer

Please follow the instructions below - only book through our room block & do not book through the hotel directly!! If there are no rooms/your desired room category left within the block, please let us know. 1) Click on the link below, which will take you to destinationweddings.com 2) Scroll down. Under "Find A Wedding," enter one of our last names (Nolte or Finkelstein) & wedding passcode (RYAN-ALLI-2025) 3) You will then be prompted to register to create an account 4) Follow the prompts to book your stay 5) Kellie Davis, our wedding coordinator, will be in touch to confirm your room & send over your invoice https://event.destinationweddings.com/dw/site/main/attend-a-wedding.asp?_gl=1*1amp3dq*_ga*MTIwMjI0MTgxOC4xNzExMjI3NDI1*_ga_C172XLB6BY*MTcxMzMwNDgzMC43LjEuMTcxMzMwNzYzNy41Ny4wLjA Any questions? Reach out to us or our wedding coordinator (Kellie Davis - kdavis@destinationweddings.com, 678-230-7538)

Question

Which resort should I be booking my stay at & for how long?

Answer

Guests without kids under 18 should be booking at the JOIA Rose Hall (formerly Grand Rose Hall). All others with kids under 18, should be booking at the Rose Hall Suites. There is a 3-night minimum, and events will be taking place 5/8-5/10, so we'd recommend arriving on 5/8 & departing on 5/11, though please feel free to extend your stay beyond 5/11 if you wish. You will be able to select the number of nights/dates when you go to book.

Question

I thought your Save The Dates said the festivities & accommodations were at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall?

Answer

In true fashion, the Grand Rose Hall resort underwent a name change (nothing else changed), so it is now the JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar. This has been updated to reflect on our booking site, but please let us know if you have any questions when you go to book!

Question

Is transportation included/how far is the hotel?

Answer

Once you book your room, a shared transfer to/from the airport will be added to your invoice. If you prefer a private transfer, please reach out to our wedding coordinator. The hotel is a quick 20 minute ride from the airport. There will be no other transportation required for the weekend, since all wedding events are taking place at the resort.

Question

Is there anything not included in my room rate?

Answer

Everything is included for the weekend! The only extras would be tips for the staff (would recommend bringing plenty of $1s, $5s & $10s to tip for great service - USD is accepted), and any spa treatments or excursions you'd like to add. Please Note: Flights must be booked separately from the room booking.

Question

What if I can't attend?

Answer

We know that this is a large time & monetary commitment, so no pressure at all! We are looking into livestream options for the ceremony & are planning to host a small dinner back home for those who can't attend once we return!

Question

Is there a time difference in Jamaica?

Answer

Yes! Jamaica is 1 hour behind US East Coast time.

Question

Will I be able to use my cellphone in Jamaica?

Answer

Yes! Iberostar resorts have free, reliable wifi all throughout the resort area. In the past, we have left our phones on airplane mode the entire time & used the resort wifi to send texts via imessage or WhatsApp. You can also setup an international plan with your cellphone provider (usually costs ~$10 per day).

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Small bills for tips (USD is accepted), sunscreen, bathing suits, attire for the wedding events, bug spray, beach bag, hat, sunglasses, passport

Question

How can I find out about the activities taking place at the resort while we're there?

Answer

Download the Iberostar app! You'll be able to see a calendar of activities taking place by the pool/at night, restaurant menus/hours, spa treatment options, etc.

Question

What are the restaurant options at the JOIA Rose Hall (formerly Grand Rose Hall)/do they require reservations?

Answer
