After exchanging several messages on Tinder, we decided to meet up at a bar in Manhattan. We found out we used to work in the same building and possibly passed each other without knowing. We clicked instantly, and our conversation flowed easily. After decorating free beer glasses from a promotion at the bar, we shared a burger at a nearby restaurant. That was the beginning of our life-long food sharing policy.

We went on a quarantine hike at Wonder Lake State Park in upstate New York. Diana had just given Ryan a drone for his birthday, and he was using it for the first time. He piloted the drone out over the wonderful lake. At the end of its return voyage, it stopped and hovered right in front of us. At that moment, Diana felt something special was going to happen. Ryan got down on one knee and popped the question with a ring he had designed with her birth stone. That was one of many special walks we will take together.
