With a casual tone, Rwanda mentioned, “I’m really excited about the upcoming election! I’m voting for Hillary Clinton because of her support for LGBTQ rights.” This piqued Lauren’s interest, but amusingly, she remained blissfully unaware of Rwanda’s flirtatious intent. So focused on their project and schoolwork, Lauren didn’t catch the subtle hints Rwanda was dropping. Realizing she needed to be more direct, Rwanda decided to change the course of their conversations. One night, while they were texting about their project, she shifted the topic to something more personal. The sudden change caught Lauren off guard.
