About the Area

"The Ridge" comprises the towns of Edgefield, Johnston, Ridge Spring, Monetta, and Ward, the bride's hometown. The area gets its name because the span of five towns sits charmingly upon an elevated ridge. The Ridge boasts a rich agricultural heritage, richer friendships, and an even richer quality of life. Some fun facts: 1. They say the Ridge is home to more peaches per capita than the entire state of Georgia. 2. It's also home to the milk, pecans, and peaches used in Clemson's Best Ice Cream. 3. If you're from the area, it's no shock to be greeted with a hearty, "Well you must be a (insert last name here!)" If you have time, stop by some of the places listed below.
