What a year to get married! We made the difficult decision to cancel our original wedding plans to ensure the safety and comfort of all of our friends and family. We will be saying "I do" in front of immediate family and our bridal party on our original date, October 10th, 2020 at 4:00pm. In order to have as many people as possible be a part of our day we will be live streaming the ceremony via Zoom. Please use the link below to view. Thank you all for the love and support in these weirdo times. https://psu.zoom.us/j/95286997626?pwd=aDBIdUdmMlUzanRUTnRuS2tTYm9zZz09 Meeting ID: 952 8699 7626 Password: 10102020 Love, Joe and Candace
We met the very first day of college at Virginia Tech--Go Hokies! Candace was shopping for textbooks with her sister Clarissa and a boy approached her and asked for help finding his textbooks. Candace was very flattered that someone thought she was an upper class-man. They became fast friends and spent the entire freshman year teasing each other and eating mass quantities of breakfast foods together.
It was a long time coming. They had dated for about four and a half years when Joe realized that introducing Candace as his "girlfriend" just didn't do her justice. Although the proposal itself lasted just minutes, the planning took months. He enlisted the help of family to find Candace the perfect ring. He then formulated a plan to propose at a secluded park along the shore of Lake Ontario, near Niagara Falls. The stress of keeping it a secret the last few months was all experienced two-fold in the minutes leading up to the gesture. "What if she knows?...What if I stumble on my words?" Anxiety aside, he looked her in the eyes, held in the vomit, started talking, bent the knee, and popped the question. She said YES!
