Let's celebrate!

We met in southwestern Colorado in 2018, when we were both working seasonal jobs: Alex at a local garden center, and Katie at an archaeology non-profit. Katie immediately noticed Alex's love for his family and his passions for reading and cycling, and knew that he was someone special. Alex loved Katie's confidence and intelligence from the very first time they met and knew she was the love of his life. Fast forward to 2020, and we were moving together to Tucson! Throughout the challenges of COVID lockdowns, grad school, and career transitions, our love grew stronger. In July 2022, Alex proposed in Paris on the first day of our dream vacation, following the Tour de France -- which was promptly ruined by a double COVID diagnosis! Even though our engagement began in sickness, we hope for many healthy days to come. We are so excited for a lifetime together!
