We're really in love, for one!! But also, Ruthanne's brother is leaving for the Marines (so proud of him!!!) at the end of August. His contract is pretty intensive and his training will be as well - so, rather than be forced into a date based on his leave, we thought getting married before he heads to training would be easier. (And did we mention how in love we are?!)
Nope. If you would like to get together with us to celebrate, just let us know! We'd love to share this time of our lives with you!
We talked extensively about how we wanted to get married. The thought of planning a big wedding sounded daunting, and honestly, expensive. We also know how truly insignificant the actual wedding day is in regards to a lifetime of marriage, and wanted to start off our marriage by focusing on the most important things in our lives: each other and family. Our wedding day will center around the love we share, the people who love us most, and the place we love to be the most: on top of mountains at home. Eloping with our family is truly the most true-to-us sort of wedding we could have, and we are SO excited for our day.
